Starburst Engineer

A financial firm is looking for a Starburst Engineer to join their team in New York, NY.

Responsibilities

• Develop, configure, and maintain Starburst data queries to support analytics.
• Optimize data queries for performance and scalability.
• Integrate Starburst with various data sources, such as SQL and cloud storage.
• Collaborate with BI and data engineering teams to ensure data availability.

Qualifications

Required

• Strong experience in SQL and data query optimization.
• Hands-on experience with Starburst or Trino/Presto.
• Familiarity with data lakes, cloud storage, and ETL processes.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.

Preferred

• Proficiency in Python or Java for automation.
• Knowledge of distributed data systems and data architecture.
