The Human Resources Recruiter is instrumental in helping Wellnest achieve organizational excellence. The HR Recruiter is responsible for developing hiring strategies that effectively address the organization’s staffing needs. This position oversees the complete life-cycle recruitment process and is responsible for designing and implementing processes that support the recruitment, selection, and onboarding of qualified candidates for roles across all levels of the organization.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages the complete life-cycle recruitment process, including preparing, sourcing, screening, selecting, hiring, and onboarding.
- Designs recruitment plans based on program needs, workforce analyses, and staffing goals.
- Works with the Vice President of Human Resources to develop recruitment & selection goals and identify metrics to evaluate the success of their efforts.
- Works with hiring managers and the leadership team to develop high-quality and equitable selection tools based on best practices.
- Organizes Wellnest-sponsored recruitment activities and participates in external recruitment events at higher education institutions, recruitment fairs, professional conferences, and other venues.
- Leads employment branding initiatives and creates engaging marketing campaigns to expand talent pool reach, locally and nationally.
- Develops recruitment content for Wellnest’s website and social media platforms to strengthen the organization’s online presence.
- Manages internal and external job postings and manages sourcing platforms and talent pools to attract qualified candidates to the appropriate career opportunities at Wellnest.
- Establishes and manages high-leverage partnerships and conducts extensive outreach and networking with university social work programs, service organizations, and affinity groups to increase Wellnest's visibility and build a pipeline of potential prospects.
- Develops and implements efficient applicant tracking systems to manage candidate data and leverages technology to streamline recruitment and selection processes.
- Manages staffing data and follows up with hiring managers to ensure all vacancies are filled promptly with high-quality, diverse candidates.
- Supports hiring managers with screening candidates and coordinates interview scheduling and logistics for select leadership positions. Coordinates temp requests and placements.
- Manages candidate relationships from recruitment through onboarding while supporting hiring managers with candidate engagement.
- Consults with hiring managers to create and revise job descriptions, customize recruitment plans, develop competency-based selection models, establish effective and inclusive interview techniques, and support onboarding plans for new hires.
- Collaborates with hiring managers and other HR team members to ensure a positive candidate experience.
- Continuously evaluates and refines approaches to candidate outreach methods and cultivation of prospects.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Psychology, or other related field from an accredited college or university is required.
- A minimum of three (3) years of recruiting experience is required. Recruitment experience in the mental health sector is highly preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:
- Must possess and maintain a valid CA driver’s license and insurable driving record.

- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to build and cultivate effective relationships with diverse audiences.
- Highly developed written and oral communication skills with the ability to speak and present information clearly and engagingly.
- Strong marketing skills with proven ability to create engaging recruitment campaigns and lead employment branding initiatives.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize assignments, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent organizational, coordination, problem-solving, and time management skills, including planning and managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining an eye for detail.
- Proven project management skills with the ability to translate plans into action.
- Knowledge of applicant tracking systems and job boards.
- Excellent data analysis skills with experience synthesizing data to drive action steps.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (i.e., MS Word, Excel, PPT, and Outlook).
