Position Title - Senior Project Manager

Location - DFW Airport, Texas, 75261 (Fully Onsite)

Duration - 6 Months (with possible extension)

Rephrase:

The Senior Project Manager (SPM) is responsible for the effective management of assigned IT projects. The Senior Project Manager (SPM) will be the single point of accountability for the delivery of large complex projects and / or processes that are both inside and outside of their immediate job area. SPMs will be responsible for communication both within and outside of their own function and business area and external to the organization as necessary. SPMs will look beyond their immediate projects for wider implications to the organization as a whole.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems or related field.
• 6 plus years of experience in an Information Technology (IT) project manager role with an emphasis on managing projects in a PMO office by aligning business requirements with IT solutions.
• Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the above.
• It might be helpful if this person has experience with Workday.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Knowledge of SDLC methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, and Iterative development.
• Knowledge of the principles and practices applied in the planning, design, implementation, and maintenance of information technologies.
• Ability to utilize an automated project management system and effectively allocating/utilizing project resources.
• Ability to interact with all levels of management to assess business requirements, and to plan, manage and deliver stable, reliable, and cost-effective technology solutions.
• Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal, negotiation and organizational skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with others inside and outside the organization.
• Ability to effectively lead and motivate project teams of professional and technical personnel.
• Ability to effectively communicate upwards via all methods.
• Flexibility to adapt work style to environmental changes.

DESIRABLE

• PMP® Certification is desirable.
• Knowledge of airport operations and related technologies.
• Experience managing on-shore, offshore, internal, and external vendor resources.
• Knowledge of the aviation industry including local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
• Experience with developing and presenting business cases to Senior Management.
• Experience with preparing Capital Plans and supporting justification.
• Experience with managing multiple large scale multi-year contracts from inception to close.
