Security Operations Manager

Location: On-site at Dallas, TX (Specifically in Las Colinas Area)

We are seeking an experienced Security Operations Manager to join our dynamic team at a rapidly growing investment company. This role will report directly to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and focus on building and maintaining robust security programs. You will lead the Security Operations Center (SOC), enhance security monitoring and response capabilities, and ensure the company's security posture aligns with best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and optimize the Security Operations Center (SOC)
• Lead the detection and response initiatives with a focus on automation
• Participate in monitoring, validating, and responding to escalated security events
• Conduct forensics and root cause analysis for security incidents
• Perform regular assessments of detection and response controls to prevent regression and improve security
• Enhance and mature the company's Incident Response framework
• Oversee vendor, infrastructure, and M&A security reviews
• Perform periodic user access reviews for critical systems and data
• Identify vulnerabilities and coordinate remediation efforts
• Present key Information Security Metrics to stakeholders
• Lead the enterprise-wide Security Awareness Training program and advocate for security within the organization

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field
• 6+ years of experience in Security Operations, including managing SOC teams
• Strong background in Microsoft 365, Azure; experience with Sentinel is a plus
• Professional certifications in information security or risk management (CISSP, CISM, CEH, or similar) are preferred or the ability to obtain them
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as ISO27001, HIPAA, GDPR, NIST, and CIS
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex security topics to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong sense of ownership and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• High level of personal integrity and professionalism when handling sensitive information
