Location: Houston, Texas (Hybrid 2-3 days per week)
$100,000 - $170,000 per annum

AI Research Scientist required for a leading innovator in the geospatial AI industry, committed to transforming geospatial operations using advanced AI technologies. With a focus on optimizing remote sensing activities, they have recently secured substantial contracts that ensure a robust and promising future.
This AI Research Scientist position is a critical role that involves developing and implementing algorithms to solve complex logistics and constraint-based problems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deploy optimization algorithms to enhance geospatial operations.
- Utilize optimization engines to address logistical problems and constraints.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate optimization solutions into larger-scale projects.
- Translate theoretical knowledge into practical solutions through effective coding and software development.
- Continuously evaluate and improve algorithm performance to meet operational requirements and specifications.
Qualifications:
- Strong background in operations research and optimization, including knowledge of constraint programming and mixed-integer programming.
- Proficient in using optimization tools.
- Excellent programming skills in Python, with the ability to bring complex algorithms to life.
- Experience with logistical problem-solving, including familiarity with problems like the traveling salesman problem.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving environment, particularly in response to new project requirements.
