Position Details:
Client firm located near South Station in Downtown Boston. Our focus is on delivering high-quality, sustainable community-oriented design for projects across a variety of building types. Our diverse team takes pride in maintaining high standards and professional integrity.
ABOUT THE POSITION
We're looking for a talented individual, with a strong interest and aptitude in interior design, to join our team and collaborate on the design and documentation of multiple projects in various phases. We're looking for someone with six–nine years of post–graduate experience, registered in Massachusetts or capable of becoming registered through NCARB reciprocity and capable of performing as a Project Architect on small– to medium–sized projects.
Required experience includes:
• Design skills in all phases from schematic design through construction documentation
• Ability to independently manage simple design problems
• Coordination experience with engineering and other consultants
• Experience overseeing small teams
• Construction administration experience
• Construction detailing experience (interior and/or exterior) is highly advantageous.
• Experience working in affordable housing or publicly-bid projects in Massachusetts.
Required skills include:
• Working directly with clients and consultants to develop solutions
• Clear communication skills, both verbal and written
• Producing clear and effective construction documents
• Proficiency in Revit in a professional office setting – 3 years minimum experience
• Familiarity with AutoCAD
• Familiarity with the Adobe Suite, Bluebeam, Procore, and Microsoft 365
• Experience producing interior finish color and materials boards is highly advantageous
