Responsibilities: Troubleshooting, configuring, remote deployment of routers, switches, firewalls. Wireless technologies such as access points, cloud keys, wireless controllers.
- Escalation points to L1 help desk engineers
- Trouble tickets and opportunity tickets/requests
- Stage and configure devices
- Configure monitoring tools
- Respond to and resolve escalated network incidents and service requests.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Troubleshoot complex network issues, including routing, switching, and firewall-related problems.
- Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability for client networks.
- Troubleshoot network problems and outages, schedule upgrades, and collaborate with network architects on network optimization for clients.
- Perform network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs, patches, hotfixes, and security configurations for client networks.
- Monitor client network performance and test for weaknesses.
- Provide escalated support and troubleshooting to resolve client issues.
- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
Experience Requirements:
- Proven hands-on network engineering experience
- Deep understanding of networking protocols
- Solid understanding of OSI or TCP/IP model
- 3+ years experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools
- Working knowledge of network operating systems (Cisco IOS, Juniper JUNOS, etc.)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with hardware (e.g., Cisco, Fortinet, HP) and network cabling installation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple client projects and prioritize tasks effectively
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, etc.)
