Position: Network Engineer

Responsibilities: Troubleshooting, configuring, remote deployment of routers, switches, firewalls. Wireless technologies such as access points, cloud keys, wireless controllers.

  • Escalation points to L1 help desk engineers
  • Trouble tickets and opportunity tickets/requests
  • Stage and configure devices
  • Configure monitoring tools
  • Respond to and resolve escalated network incidents and service requests.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Troubleshoot complex network issues, including routing, switching, and firewall-related problems.
  • Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability for client networks.
  • Troubleshoot network problems and outages, schedule upgrades, and collaborate with network architects on network optimization for clients.
  • Perform network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs, patches, hotfixes, and security configurations for client networks.
  • Monitor client network performance and test for weaknesses.
  • Provide escalated support and troubleshooting to resolve client issues.
  • Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.

Experience Requirements:

  • Proven hands-on network engineering experience
  • Deep understanding of networking protocols
  • Solid understanding of OSI or TCP/IP model
  • 3+ years experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools
  • Working knowledge of network operating systems (Cisco IOS, Juniper JUNOS, etc.)
  • 3+ years hands-on experience with hardware (e.g., Cisco, Fortinet, HP) and network cabling installation
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple client projects and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, etc.)
