Full Stack Engineer

Location: Baltimore, Maryland

We are looking for a full-stack engineer to support growing efforts in Healthcare Analytics and Informatics. This individual would be a huge contributor to organization-wide initiatives to drive and display healthcare data for the organization.

Qualifications:

• Engages in the entire software development process, including estimation, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
• Works closely with project teams and clients to understand requirements and acceptance criteria; collaborates with development teams and product managers to conceptualize software solutions.
• Ensures effective integration with back-end services and databases.
• Assesses data processing needs to design databases and web applications that meet anticipated system workloads.
• Plans, develops, tests, and documents programs by applying programming knowledge and computer systems expertise; reviews requests from users, business partners, and service providers for new or modified applications to evaluate feasibility, cost, timeline, system compatibility, and computer capacity.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Systems, Engineering, Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, or a closely related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Over 3 years of practical experience in software development and programming, with a solid understanding of application, data, and architectural design patterns and principles.
• At least 2 years of experience in developing sophisticated, visually appealing web UIs using React or Angular, with a focus on data-rich applications.
• Over 3 years of experience with scripting languages, particularly Python or JavaScript (including Node.js).
• More than 3 years of experience in back-end service and database integration.
