Overview

We are seeking a Data Analyst to join our Fortune 50 healthcare client’s Enterprise API Catalog team to enhance system performance, user experience, and cost optimization. You will be analyzing API data for tools rationalization, crafting insightful recommendations, and driving compliance with North Star standards. You will transform complex API data into compelling, data-driven stories for stakeholders at all levels, directly influencing strategies around API governance and platform performance.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Power BI for backend data manipulation, visualization, and storytelling.
• Proficiency in SQL and backend data manipulation, including ETL processes and data transformation.
• Understanding of API metrics, governance, and usage across large enterprise platforms.
• Ability to translate technical API data into strategic business insights for executive leadership.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and persuade senior stakeholders.
• Familiarity with data governance principles and compliance standards related to API management.
• Experience working in a highly technical enterprise-level environment, collaborating with architects and product teams to strategize and present data insights.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Visualization:

• Analyze data from APIs to extract actionable insights for tools rationalization and cost optimization.
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards to clearly present complex data to diverse stakeholders.
• Perform backend data manipulation, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and SQL scripting to extract, clean, and transform data for analysis and reporting.

Storytelling & Presentation:

• Create compelling data narratives that communicate findings and recommendations effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Translate technical data into business insights to support decision-making and strategy formulation.
• Lead discussions with leaders and stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding of data-driven recommendations.

Data Management & Governance:

• Contribute to the establishment of data management and governance standards for API usage and compliance.
• Identify gaps in API governance, propose strategies, and develop solutions to enhance data quality and ensure compliance with North Star standards.

API Governance & Monitoring:

• Analyze API utilization, versioning, and governance data to track compliance and identify outliers.
• Collaborate with a centralized metrics team to support platform performance and monitoring.
• Work with enterprise architects and product owners to strategize and visualize API data insights.

Continuous Improvement:

• Drive API rationalization initiatives, identifying opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiency.
• Clearly communicate the implications of API non-compliance data to leadership, offering actionable insights and guiding strategic decision-making.
