Job description

We are looking for Dispatcher for a growing team at a manufacturing and distribution company in Sanford, Florida. American Builders Supply is Florida’s largest independent supplier of building materials for the residential building market statewide with locations in Jacksonville, Sanford, Melbourne, Winter Haven, Tampa and Fort Myers

The Dispatcher will be responsible for ensuring all deliveries for a certain day are met safely. The following description details the duties. These duties include but are not limited to the following functions

Duties

General

• Working Safely and report any unsafe conditions.
• Managing multiple drivers.
• Reviews Delivery packets for accuracy and ensuring drivers are retrieving all required hardware needed.
• Train new employees on the Dispatch or Delivery process.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.

Requirements

• Dispatch experience preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance requirements, including driver hours of service, vehicle inspections, and load restrictions.
• Some knowledge of construction supplies.
• Knowledge or experience of mechanical/Trucks preferred.
• Organized or Ability to coordinate routes.
• Ability to think fast.
• Ability to manage time to get the job done within the time allotted.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to manage 7 or more Drivers.
• Team Player.
• Customer service experience.
