Stelvio Group is looking for an experienced Senior Azure Engineer / Cloud Application Developer to join our client’s team in Plano, TX. If you're passionate about building cloud-native solutions and solving complex challenges in the cloud, we want to hear from you!
Please note, this is not a DevOps position, we are seeking cloud native application developers.
About the Role:
As a Senior Azure Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and enhancing cloud infrastructure. You will be responsible for building and optimizing cloud-native applications, including databases, WebApps, and other Azure services. Your expertise in Azure technologies and .NET development will be essential as you guide projects from initial design through to successful implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop scalable, high-performance cloud-native systems using Azure technologies.
- Improve and maintain existing cloud infrastructure while integrating new cloud solutions.
- Create clear and comprehensive documentation, explaining design decisions and trade-offs.
- Work closely with QA teams to support testing and ensure seamless project delivery.
- Translate business requirements into innovative technical solutions.
- Break down complex projects into manageable tasks, estimating time and effort accurately.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in .NET development, specifically with Azure cloud-native applications (this is not a DevOps role).
- Deep understanding of Azure services such as Azure Functions, App Service, Event Grid, Event Hub, SQL Server, NoSQL databases, and message queues.
- Proficiency in C#, .NET, REST APIs, and OAuth.
- Experience with front-end technologies like React.js and JavaScript frameworks.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation tools (ARM, Bicep) is a plus.
- Proven experience developing and troubleshooting cloud applications.
- Comfortable working in Agile environments.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Self-starter with a focus on ownership, results, and continuous improvement.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
