responsible for managing and maintaining Cisco Meraki networking equipment, Fortinet firewalls, Microsoft Windows servers, VMWare virtualization software, and Dell Avamar backup solutions.
What You'll Be Doing
Implement automation solutions using PowerShell and Power Platform for IT operations. Job duties:
- Manage and maintain Cisco Meraki networking equipment, including switches, routers, and wireless access points, ensuring optimal network performance, security, and scalability.
- Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Fortinet firewalls to maintain network security and implement necessary firewall policies and rules.
- Administer and maintain Microsoft Windows servers, including installation, configuration, regular patch management, and backup operations to ensure system stability, data protection, and disaster recovery readiness.
- Implement and manage backup and recovery solutions for critical systems, including regular backups, monitoring, and verification of backups, and performing restorations when needed.
- Administer Microsoft 365 and Azure cloud environments, including user management, licensing, security configurations, collaboration tools (e.g., SharePoint, Teams, etc.), and other cloud-based applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy, configure, and manage cloud-based applications.
- Ensure the availability, performance, and security of cloud applications by monitoring system health, troubleshooting issues, and implementing appropriate security measures.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to perform application upgrades, patches, and migrations, following best practices and minimizing downtime.
- Develop and implement automation solutions using PowerShell scripting and Power Platform tools (e.g., Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, etc.) to streamline administration tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Manage user access and permissions for cloud applications, ensuring compliance with security policies and industry regulations.
- Monitor and analyze cloud application usage, performance metrics, and service level agreements (SLAs) to identify areas for improvement and optimize resource allocation.
- Collaborate with the IT team to integrate cloud applications with on-premises systems, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to cloud computing, SaaS applications, and cloud security, and provide recommendations for enhancing the organization's cloud infrastructure.
- Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides related to cloud application administration to ensure knowledge sharing and efficient system administration.
- Manage vendors on related IT Services and verification of proper service, ensuring support and terms are satisfied.
- Lead or participate in technical projects in support of company initiatives, expansion, or future acquisitions.
- Collaborate and coordinate tasks with 3rd party technical resources and/or TAH infrastructure team.
- Provide after-hours support for infrastructure related emergencies as well as occasional weekend maintenance when necessary.
- Maintain, control, and organize inventory of network and workstation hardware as well as any purchased software licenses.
- Comply with applicable Laws and Regulations, adhere to Quality Management System processes and requirements as well as demonstrate Ethics and Integrity in all matters and at all levels throughout the organization.
The Skills/Experience Needed for the Role
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or closely related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems, or related field of study.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in an IT support or technical role that utilized Microsoft technologies such as Windows servers, 365, Active Directory, Group Policy, Intune, Azure, etc., of which include:
- ????????????Minimum two (2) years of experience in administering servers (Microsoft 2012/2016/2019), virtualization (Hyper-V or VMWare), backup solutions (Datto, NAS, SAN), networking (Cisco Meraki), and cloud services (Azure, AWS)
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in scripting (PowerShell, Python) and automation (Power Platform)
- Experience in administering Microsoft 365, including user management, licensing, security configurations, and collaboration tools such as SharePoint and Teams.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure cloud services, including resource management, virtual machines, networking, and security configurations.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server operating systems, including installation, configuration, and management of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and backup operations using native tools or third-party solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with vendors, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint and Teams administration.
- Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
How to Stand out from the Crowd
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure, including resource management, virtual machines, networking, and security configurations.
- Understanding of cloud security best practices, including identity and access management, data encryption, and vulnerability management.
- Experience in automating administrative tasks and workflows in a cloud environment using PowerShell scripting and Power Platform tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve issues in cloud applications.
- Proven ability to adapt to new technologies and quickly learn and apply new concepts and tools in a dynamic cloud environment.
Salary Range
$75,000-$100,000 (Compensation could be higher based on education, experience and skill sets)
