What you will be doing:
  • Validate complex battery systems and components including structural, thermal, electro-mechanical components (Shaker tests, mechanical validation test sequences, 1 battery abuse testing, IP (immersion production) testing, EMI/EMC compliance, emissions etc.)
  • Create test reports
  • Review test findings along with potential solutions
  • Generating needed artifacts per the engineering phase
  • Drive best validation practices
  • 10% - 25% time traveling to test sites
What you'll need to be successful:
Essential:
  • College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or other relevant technical disciplines.
  • System and Validation engineering experience with strong technical background on product validation.
  • Proven experience with problem solving, definition and execution of validation tests, data analysis and creation of test reports.
  • Open-minded, team focused, have an innovative spirit, self-motivating, and think with a physics-based mindset to solving technical problems, while being able to balance cost and timing.
  • 2 plus years of experience
  • Humble, teachable, and solve their own problems
  • Effective and collaborative team player
  • Good communicator - written and verbal
  • MS office suit solid knowledge is required.
  • Great collaborator
Preferred:
  • Battery EV vehicle and systems
  • Product Safety and Compliance experience
  • Creo Schematics experience
  • PDM Windchill or Polarion experience
  • Experience with troubleshooting engine or vehicle electrical systems
