Position Overview:

As a Senior Manufacturing Project Engineer, you will gain exposure to various roles and operating processes within a manufacturing facility. The Senior Manufacturing Project Engineer is responsible for being a part of work teams involved in the planning, organization and development of capital and plant projects as well as troubleshooting problems with maintenance and production while driving to corrective action.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Management - Manage Projects from Conceptual Design through Start-up. This would include, but not be limited to cost estimating/reporting, technical specifications reviews, equipment selection, procurement, and installation planning and contractor management, and commissioning.
  • Develops, implements, and manages engineering projects, layout changes, and equipment improvements to support and improve the manufacturing operations as needed to help meet cost savings, food safety, safety, and business goals.
  • Drives equipment validation (IQ/OQ/PQ).
  • Supports manufacturing engineering with equipment standards/vendor scorecard development.
  • Develops and deploys technical standards, training, operating procedures, maintenance and controls programs for production and technical support on new equipment, and automation installations.
  • Assists with continuous improvement initiatives by partnering with plant engineers, operations personnel, and maintenance technicians to optimize processes and improve skills.

Qualifications:

  • Degree: Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, other relevant/equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in field.
  • Experience installing equipment in continuous operation, manufacturing/production line facilities.
  • Understanding of/experience with manufacturing problem solving and process interrogation tools such as Six Sigma, and production flow tools such as LEAN manufacturing.
  • Must be capable and have drawing experience with AutoCAD.
  • A desire to work in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment.
  • Willing to work off-shifts, including weekends as needed for new equipment installations.

Hours and Pay:

We offer a competitive base pay rate and a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees. Hours are primarily business hours, Monday-Friday, but will require off shift hours to meet business needs. This role supports both our Little Chute and Neenah, WI facilities, but will be based in Little Chute.

Physical and Mental Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, and bending throughout the shift. The employees must frequently lift and/or move items up to and including fifty (50) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job are close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.   • Mental demands include multi-tasking, decision making, problem solving, comparing, copying, computing, compiling, analyzing, coordinating, and synthesizing data.
