Job Overview:
We seek a skilled Electrician to repair and maintain electrical and electronic equipment. This role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving in an industrial environment.
Education & Licensing:
- Must possess a Massachusetts Electrical License.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required.
Skill Requirements:
- Problem-Solving
- Basic math skills and knowledge of simple industrial equipment.
- Ability to identify operational problems and provide effective remedies.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and move pallets weighing up to 1,000 pounds using material handling equipment.
- Must be able to work in confined spaces.
- Strong independent judgment skills for nonstandard procedures.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of two years of experience as an industrial electrician.
- Technical Requirements:
- Proven troubleshooting skills and ability to read a variety of electrical meters.
- Proficiency in setting up and using a wide variety of hand and power tools.
- Ability to perform simple electrical calculations and read blueprints and schematics.
Responsibilities:
- Perform remedial repairs and installations related to electrical equipment and facilities.
- Tasks include replacing lights and fuses, bending and installing conduit, pulling and terminating wires, and overhauling relays, circuit breakers, electric power motors, and motor bearings.
- Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and from ladders at heights up to 40 feet.
- Maintain a variety of electrical and electronic equipment, including replacing defective contactors and modules.
- Responsibilities also include snow removal, painting, cleaning, and hazmat duties.
- Maintain a variety of electrical and electronic equipment, including replacing defective contactors and modules.
- Knowledge of operating volt-ohm meters, oscilloscopes, continuity testers, wire tracing equipment, and other tools used in electrical duties.
- Troubleshoot Equipment:
- Conduct PLC troubleshooting as well as installation.
- On-call availability as needed
