Senior Systems Engineer

Job Summary

We're seeking a seasoned Senior Systems Engineer to oversee our Windows and Citrix environment, ensuring seamless delivery, handoff to support teams and exceptional end-user experience. As a technical leader, you'll standardize processes, resolve complex issues and drive improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

  • Lead a team of systems and application delivery engineers in daily support and continuous improvement of the end-user experience.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to resolve complex technical issues related to desktop computing and applications.

Citrix and Windows Expertise

  • Manage and troubleshoot Windows and Citrix servers, ensuring reliability and performance.
  • Implement, upgrade and patch Citrix and Windows environments to meet security, audit and business requirements.

Problem-Solving and Automation

  • Research and test solutions to technical issues using scripting methods (PowerShell).
  • Resolve escalated incidents and participate in problem management activities.

Process Improvement

  • Develop and execute technology roadmaps to drive measurable improvements.
  • Standardize processes, streamline workflows and identify areas for improvement.

Collaboration and Feedback

  • Work with procurement and service desk teams to ensure license compliance.
  • Provide feedback to engineering teams on product quality, documentation and training opportunities.

Requirements

Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in Systems Engineering with SCCM and Citrix.
  • Proven expertise in VDI (XenApp, XenDesktop), Mobility, Citrix, Collaboration solutions and Cloud-based productivity applications (Office 365, SharePoint Online, OneDrive).

Technical Skills

  • Strong PowerShell experience.
  • Proficiency in Windows Systems Management and Patch management Technologies (SCCM, Group Policy and WSUS).

Soft Skills

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to prioritize user community satisfaction and feedback.
