Senior Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP/IFRS.
• Lead the preparation and submission of federal, state, and local tax filings, ensuring compliance with all tax regulations.
• Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and manage internal controls over financial reporting.
• Analyze financial data and provide strategic recommendations to senior management.
• Monitor and implement changes in accounting standards and tax legislation that impact the organization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
• Manage and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support for their professional development.
• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger, balance sheets, and income statements.
• Assist with special projects and ad-hoc financial analyzes as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;
• CPA or equivalent certification preferred not required
• 3+ years of experience in financial accounting, with a focus on financial and tax reporting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and tax regulations.
• Proven experience with financial statement preparation, tax compliance, and audit processes.
• Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
