Job Title: Field Service Engineer
Assigned to: Director, Technical Department
Responsibilities:
- Onsite equipment commissioning and technical support for North America
- Provide technical support through multiple communication mediums with a focus on remediating customer inquiries
- Carry out customer product testing and POCs
- Equipment repairs and assembly
- Prepare technical documentation (ex. testing results, RGA management, equipment builds and field service documents)
- Assist with on-site testing, documentation, and customer hosting
- Perform technical training sessions at customer sites
- Perform electrical work on Siemens and Allen-Bradley based control systems
- Collaborate with colleagues at our German headquarters to resolve technical issues
Requirements:
Education requirements:
Associate degree or higher in a technical field or engineering. Also, a minimum of 2 to 4 years’ experience in the industrial automation industry. Must have a strong mechanical and electrical background. Previous field equipment commissioning and troubleshooting experience is preferred.
Skills and personality traits
- Enjoys customer facing interactions, but also on the phone and through email
- Have an aptitude for attention to detail and very hands on
- Is highly organized with the ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks
- A resourceful self-starter initiates work without specific instruction
- Business growth enabler and Brand focused
- SolidWorks/CAD experience a plus
- Flexible and works professionally
- Ability to work in the field 50% when not in local office

Main Office in Kennesaw, GA
Work Schedule:
The position involves a standard 40-hour workweek, with direction provided by the Director of the Technical Department. The role will require travel for training, installations, sales support, and project work.
