Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a construction liaison between design engineering and construction teams during the erection of Water Treatment Plants.
  • Provide technical guidance and assistance to customer representatives regarding installation, operation, calibration, repair, and maintenance at client sites.
  • Manage external vendors and suppliers to ensure their services meet project specifications and performance requirements.
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and log sheets to track equipment during storage, installation, and initial operations.
  • Plan and execute installation, assembly, and storage strategies.
  • Conduct quality inspections of electromechanical/rotating equipment alongside clients and their designated representatives.
  • Maintain a strong safety mindset, ensuring that all work adheres to technical and safety standards.
  • Prepare accurate and timely technical reports for client records and future reference.
  • Resolve alignment issues and perform calculations related to plumb adjustments and plane geometry.

Physical Demands:

  • The role requires sitting, using hands, reaching with arms, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, and hearing.
  • Occasionally, lifting/moving items up to 25 pounds is required.
  • The job involves specific vision requirements including close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Physical activities may be performed in various work environments, including exposure to moderate to loud noise levels and outdoor conditions.

Work Environment:

  • Work may take place in foreign countries, including accommodations at remote work camps.
  • Many water treatment facilities are located outdoors, and the employee may work in outdoor environments with varying noise levels.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • College Diploma with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Water Treatment or 10 years in Construction/Commissioning.
  • Strong customer relationship skills, understanding both internal and external customer dynamics.
  • Knowledge of Water Treatment Systems (WTS) products and systems such as Reverse Osmosis, Clarifiers, Thickeners, Pressure Filters.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely with project teams.
  • Basic knowledge of water treatment chemistry and the ability to communicate it effectively.
  • Proficiency in structural, mechanical, hydraulics, electrical, piping, welding specifics, and civil notations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Experience in Commissioning, Construction, or Services.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent from an accredited university or college.
  • Experience in the Oil and Gas industry.
  • Hands-on mechanical and electrical experience, particularly with water treatment equipment (e.g., pumps, valves, instrumentation, relief valves, regulators, pneumatic systems).
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly to new challenges.
  • Lock-Out/Tag-Out training is preferred.
