Director of Tax Operations

Our client, a top-tier business management firm, provides comprehensive tax and financial management services to high net worth (HNW) clients, including celebrities, athletes, actors, producers, and more. We are looking for a CPA with 8+ years of experience who is either a current Tax Senior Manager/Director in a public accounting firm or was previously in tax and now in a operations role for a tax practice. Strong people management experience is a must!

Responsibilities:

• Manage the business management department from an operational standpoint, ensuring all teams are working effectively and that team collaboration and morale stays strong.
• Be an inspiring leader who leads by action and is actively involved in the mentoring and development of staff.
• Ensure team deadlines are being met and share regular reports back to the C-suite.
• Provide subject matter expertise on complex tax issues as it relates to the client's tax and estate planning, large asset purchases, etc.
• Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive financial and personal information of clients.

Qualifications:

• CPA Required
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required
• 8+ years of tax experience in business management or public accounting firm; tax practice operations experience is a huge plus
• Deep understanding of tax laws, financial planning strategies, investment principles, and estate planning techniques relevant to high net worth individuals.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and develop strategic solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with key stakeholders.
