Position Overview:

  • Pocket FM is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Creative to lead our creative team in Los Angeles. This role is crucial for driving the ideation, development, and execution of compelling content across multiple promotion platforms like Facebook, TikTok , Instagram etc. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in the US market, a proven track record in content creation for platforms like Reelshorts, Drama Box, and similar vertical video platforms, and a strong ability to manage both creative storytelling and production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of original content with a focus on 30-60 minute formats.
  • Work closely with the business and production teams to conceptualize, script, and execute content that meets both creative vision and budgetary constraints.
  • Build and oversee a creative team, providing mentorship and direction for junior creatives.
  • Collaborate with writers, directors, and producers to ensure storytelling aligns with audience preferences and platform requirements.
  • Evaluate scripts with a keen focus on production feasibility, cost optimization, and creative integrity.
  • Stay updated with trends in OTT, digital streaming, and vertical video content to ensure Pocket FM’s competitive edge.
  • Manage relationships with external creative partners, agencies, and freelancers as necessary.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in content creation for the US market such as OTT platforms, digital streaming, with a strong focus on hyper-short video companies.
  • Experience in evaluating, and optimizing scripts for production efficiency.
  • Strong network in the US media and entertainment industry, with connections to writers, directors and other creatives.
  • Ability to manage creative processes from ideation through post-production.
  • Experience working with vertical video platforms like Reelshorts, Drama Box, or similar is a significant advantage.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
  • Knowledge of budgeting and cost management in content production.
