Superintendent - Civil Construction

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Civil Construction Superintendent with a proven background in roadway, highway, and paving projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience leading field operations, managing crews, and ensuring that projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and with the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities for roadway, highway, and paving projects.
• Oversee and manage field staff, subcontractors, and equipment to ensure efficient and safe operations.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and work plans to meet project milestones.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, engineering standards, and safety regulations.
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to uphold construction standards.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to communicate project progress and resolve any issues.
• Address and mitigate any field challenges or changes effectively.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, timesheets, and project documentation.
• Foster a culture of safety and uphold company safety protocols on all job sites.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in heavy civil construction, specifically with roadway, highway, and paving projects.
• Extensive knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and safety regulations in heavy civil work.
• Proven ability to manage crews and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with construction management software and tools.
• Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to various job sites as needed.
