About this Role
Agility Partners is seeking a qualified Mainframe Developer to fill an open position with one of our banking clients. This exciting opportunity allows candidates to be at the forefront of mainframe technology, working on complex projects that ensure operational availability and drive innovation in infrastructure planning. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining critical technology roadmaps and applying emerging concepts to ensure system efficiency and growth.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for mainframe technology, providing technical leadership.
- Participate in infrastructure planning, offering insight into future technology needs.
- Maintain and document mainframe development tools, roadmaps, and manage cross-departmental application migrations.
- Lead product lifecycle management, including configuration, testing, contingency planning, and operational support.
The Ideal Candidate
- 5+ years of experience in a related field.
- Strong experience in mainframe languages and platforms, including COBOL, JCL, and IBM MVS Z/OS.
- Expertise in Base SAS programming and platform engineering for mainframes.
- Familiarity with CICS COBOL and software change management solutions.
- Experience with DevOps tools like GitHub is a plus.
- Industry knowledge in areas such as wealth management or AmTrust is desirable.
