Job Summary
Manage a select group of qualified and nonqualified retirement plans, which may include all aspects of plan design, overseeing day to day administration, trust accounting, participant notices, plan documents, compliance testing, and leading a team of analysts. Continuously gain knowledge of the retirement plan industry through ongoing education.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Manage and mentor analyst
• Manage a select group of retirement plan
• Responsible for all aspects of plan design
• Oversee day to day administration, annual compliance testing, Form 5500 preparation, and trust accounting
• Drafting participant notices and plan document
• Client relationship management ensuring high quality deliverable
• Perform project tasks independently, and direct the efforts of other
• Anticipate client needs and formulate solutions to client issue
• Prepare and review deliverables for accuracy and quality
• Plan and lead client meeting
• Provide training
• Participate in prospective client proposal presentation
• Manage own personal and professional development; seek opportunities for professional
growth and expansion of consulting skills and experience
Qualifications:
Knowledge of
• Excellent problem solving including an ability to independently research and determine strategies to solve client need
• Experience fostering client relationship
• Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications, including Microsoft Office and established database
• Knowledge of the Omni recordkeeping system
• Basic scripting
• Experience with rate group testing, earned income calculations, and other advanced types of compliance testing
• Experience with retirement plan conversions, acquisitions, and divestiture
Skill in
• Providing excellent customer service
• Critical thinking
• Communicating effectively, both orally and in writing
Ability to
• Perform complex compliance testing, discuss plan design, prepare annual reports, and complete DOL and IRS form
• Prioritize, work independently and drive tasks to completion
• Lead project teams and function with multiple tasks and deadlines concurrently
• Handle multiple ongoing project
• Conduct meetings with client senior leadership
Education/Previous Experience
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Mathematics or Business Administration; and
• 5 - 7 years of experience in the retirement field including consulting with client
Licenses/Certifications
• QKA or QPA designation preferred
Travel Required
• Minimal
Compensation
• $80,000 - $110,000
