We are seeking a SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition)/EMS (Energy Management Systems) Engineer to play a pivotal role in driving our sales efforts and ensuring customer satisfaction. Your day will be filled with: Providing in-depth knowledge and support to our sales team on SCADA/EMS solutions, Conducting product demonstrations, explaining technical concepts, and building strong relationships with potential customers, Contributing to the development of winning proposals and guiding team members, Partnering with our research and development team to develop advanced SCADA/EMS solutions, Creating innovative designs and architectures for complex energy management systems. How You'll Make an Impact
  • Your new role will be challenging and focused on the future. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, a customer-centric approach, and a strong technical background in IT technologies for the power supply sector.
  • In this position, you will provide technical expertise and proactive support to local Sales organization in SCADA/EMS by assisting them in the preparation of bids and conducting competitive analysis. Furthermore, you will be responsible for subsystems of the SCADA/EMS products, ensuring that demonstrations are conducted using appropriate data, workflows, and scripts based on the product release.
  • Additionally, you will develop design options, conduct product demonstrations, and present technical solution concepts to customers related to SCADA/EMS using our control center products.
  • You will participate in customer meetings to explain the benefits and use cases. You will be responsible for identifying and creating high-quality leads and product candidates. Maintaining and developing customer relationships throughout the sales cycle will also be part of your role.
  • Actively provide market feedback to research and development team enabling them to develop the most advanced network control solutions for the future network.
  • Supporting of proposal management in the offering phase and guide team members.
  • 20-30% travel within North America
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering required (Computer, Electrical, and Electronic preferred)
  • 8 or more years of experience in electrical engineering, automation, or similar field preferred *Candidates with more experience may be considered for a higher level and vice versa.
  • 3 or more years of work experience with Grid control technologies such as SCADA/EMS and DMS/ADMS required
  • Proficiency in the business processes of energy supply (power transmission and distribution market) and strong familiarity with control center products covering IT/OT integration preferred
  • Ability to build, configure and conduct high-level architectural discussions including 3rd party integrations
  • Customer focused, Result oriented, Team Player with Strong Analytical Thinking
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

This job may be based remotely within the United States.Siemens Energy offers a variety of health and wellness benefits including paid time off and holiday pay. The base salary range for this position is $100K - $160K and the annual incentive target is 10% - 15% of the base salary. Various factors, such as experience, skills, certifications, and other business needs determine specific offers. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications.
