Systems Administrator

We're looking for a system administrator who specializes in customer support to help us build next gen capabilities for the Department of Defense.

As a system administrator on our team, you'll ensure users have the tools they need. You'll learn how to help clients overcome challenges through monitoring and performance management. You'll analyze problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical network.

You'll combine your technical knowledge and communication skills to turn metrics into information and articulate their meaning. We focus on growing as a team, so we'll share techniques, work through challenges, and develop new methodologies together. You Have:
  • 2+ years of experience with Linux or Windows Server administration
  • 2+ years of experience in server virtualization
  • 2+ years of experience with ticketing systems, including Jira
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience in a customer support role or 5+ years of experience in a customer support role in lieu of a degree
  • Ability to obtain DoD 8570 IAT Level II or IAT Level III Certification within 30 days of start date


Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with Proxmox
  • Experience with Windows Datacenter and Ubuntu Linux
  • Experience with Active Directory (AD)
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code, including Terraform or Cloud formation or Configuration as Code, including AWS SSM, Ansible, PowerShell, or Bash
  • Secret clearance


Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,300.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
