The sales position is for the Catalysts Business Line covering Oleochemicals, Life Science and Fine Chemicals accounts across North America. The territory includes several accounts critical to the BL's growth. Responsibility will include >$10 million in current sales, with significant upside potential.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage all sales activities to maintain existing business and seek growth opportunities in the region. Responsibility for revenue, monitoring market contribution margin of product-customer combination and collection of relevant market intelligence for the market segments.
- Build strong customer relationships across matrix organizations, gain trust and respond to customer needs in a adequate and timely fashion.
- Cooperate with other internal units (e.g Marketing, applied technology) to execute growth plans and maintain current business activities.
- Implement promotion initiatives, namely participation in trade shows, market conferences and customer visits to identify new opportunities.
- Support on the development and implementation of a sustainable growth strategy for the respective market segments in North America.
- Establish the annual product-customer budget in agreement with marketing and management. Monitor ongoing performance vs. budget and provide deviation analysis, together with implementation of corrective measures.
- Manage an accurate sales forecast and co-responsibility along with Business operations to maintain healthy inventory levels and adequate turnover.
REQUIREMENTS
- BS Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related areas; MBA is a plus.
- 5 years minimum experience in marketing, sales, technical service, business.
- Proven commercial (sales and marketing) record of accomplishment.
- Must have ability to travel 50%+ of the time or as needed.
- Strong communication (written, verbal, listening) skills.
- Ability to work in multidisciplinary team.
- Good affinity and command of contemporary IT-tools (E.g Office package, MS Dynamics, MS Teams...
