Position Summary:
This Systems Administrator will work as a member of our Enterprise Storage, Servers & Virtualization team which provides operational and maintenance support for the firm's physical and virtual environments as well as our enterprise Storage systems located across the United States and Overseas. The team is responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle management of equipment at the firm's 3 data centers.

Position Summary:
This Systems Administrator will work as a member of our Enterprise Storage, Servers & Virtualization team which provides operational and maintenance support for the firm's physical and virtual environments as well as our enterprise Storage systems located across the United States and Overseas. The team is responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle management of equipment at the firm's 3 data centers.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Performs upgrade for Commvault backup environment, Commvault servers & proxy servers etc. software installation & platform upgrades
- Recovers the data from other threats using backup technology
- Understands and implements backup data lifecycle management policy
- Configures data replication across sites for data redundancy and performs disaster recovery
- Performs backup administration including various tasks such as console back up & monitoring backup environment
- Provisions new systems including hardware based servers as well as virtual servers in a mixed and very robust Microsoft Hyper-V 2016/2019/2022 clustered and un-clustered environment
- Performs server upgrades, server migrations, datacenter maintenance and overall system/data migrations
- Provides assistance for other administrators as needed to maintain well over 1300 Microsoft Windows Servers in production
- Compiles and maintains documentation on on-prem and Azure Commvault backup solutions and virtual infrastructure technologies
- Troubleshoots and manages incident resolution with direct vendor support when needed (ex. EMC, Dell, Netapp, Microsoft, Commvault and other vendors)
- Administers, tunes and supports our existing large complex hardware and software environments which includes EMC VNX Family of Arrays, Dell DAS storage arrays, Dell Servers, Brocade/EMC Fiber switches, NetApp SSD, NVMe & Hybrid Arrays, Dell/EMC Enterprise NAS solution- ISILON>PowerScale
- Administers EMC Recover Point Appliances and Disaster Recovery practices
- Performs periodic Disaster Recovery / Data Recovery scenarios
- Provisions all storage assets including the SAN fabric zoning
- Powershell scripting as needed
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies: Microsoft HyperV as well as VMWare 7.x and above
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and related Technologies
- Strong knowledge of Commvault and backup technologies
- Powershell scripting understanding and abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
- Eager to be a team player and to learn new emerging technologies
- Ability to have a fluid schedule as the position requires weekend and after hours work
- Position requires the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines
- Position may require travel
- Position includes being on-call during the year at several intervals
Qualifications & Prior Experience:
- Minimum 5+ year's Systems Administration experience in an MS Windows environment
- Minimum 3+ year's Systems Administration experience in a VMWare environment
- Minimum 3+ year's storage systems operations experience, preferably Netapp EMC/Dell Isilon
- Minimum 5+ years of x86 physical server experience
- Data Center experience is required
- Commvault Backup/Recovery knowledge is a plus
