About the Opportunity:The TA, Lead is responsible for full-cycle staff recruiting and following a fair, consistent, and equitable recruitment and hiring process. In this role, the TA Lead manages the hiring process and works closely with hiring managers across the Academy to source, recruit, and hire talent. The Talent Partner will support and nurture a culture of inclusivity and diversity that reflects the Academy's values. This position will report to Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition.

This position is based in San Francisco, California. Staff are currently expected to work from the Academy offices at least 2-3 times per week, which may fluctuate based on business needs. Please do not apply if you are not able to work onsite. Candidates are required to have up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination as a condition of employment, absent qualifying exemptions in accordance with applicable laws. About the People & Culture Team (PACT):
The People & Culture team collaborates across the Academy to build a thriving culture in which all staff members feel cared for and respected, with opportunities for growth, and deeply connect employees to the Academy's purpose of regenerating the natural world.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the full cycle recruitment for all assigned jobs at various career levels from opening jobs to onboarding
  • Provide a positive and inclusive recruitment experience for candidates from the application stage to onboarding
  • Develop and lead recruiting strategies with hiring managers, focusing on outreach and attraction to a diverse internal and external candidate pool
  • Research and source candidates for unique positions using innovative sourcing and innovative approaches to recruiting passive talent, and keep up to date on the latest trends to attract more diverse candidates
  • Cultivate established relationships with key educational institutions, professional associations, individuals, and community organizations for networking and future recruitment pipelines
  • Conduct interviews in a consistent method and process to ensure we deliver a fair and consistent hiring process
  • Ensure all hiring team members are trained on using the latest best practices for behavioral-based interviewing and focus on reducing bias in the selection process
  • Lead post-interview debrief sessions with interview teams and collect all feedback for reporting and compliance
  • Provide regular status updates to stakeholders on the effectiveness of recruitment efforts by consistently analyzing recruitment and hiring data
  • Maximize the ATS system to deliver on recruiting plans and areas for automation and workflow optimization to streamline the hiring process
  • Participate in recruitment projects and make suggestions to improve processes to be more efficient and equitable
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and demonstrate sound discretion
  • Follow all Academy safety regulations
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications: A successful candidate will have the following:

Experience and/or Education:Required and Preferred:
    • Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and equivalent work experience
    • Minimum of 6 years of experience in conducting full-cycle recruitment
    • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and reporting
    • Experience with communicating compensation decisions to applicants and hiring managers

Skill and Abilities: Required and Preferred:
    • A demonstrated commitment/personal experience in diversity, equity, and inclusion and anti-racism work
    • Strong collaborator as part of a team to accomplish mutual goals
    • Communicates effectively with staff, cross-functional teams, applicants, and external clients from different identities and experiences
    • Ability to bring new ideas, create innovative solutions, and find efficiencies to improve processes
    • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and adapt with a sense of urgency to organizational changes

Compensation and Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $110,000. Actual compensation will be commensurate with experience, skills/knowledge set, and internal equity. We believe in fair and equitable compensation practices and are committed to providing competitive salaries within the industry and market standards. The Academy offers a total compensation package that emphasizes both base salary and comprehensive benefits based on the hours per week worked.
