About Company / Opportunity:We are a boutique investment firm specializing in property management within the multi-family sector. With a collaborative culture and supportive leadership, we offer a great opportunity for a Controller to take on a pivotal role in managing accounting functions for a portfolio of properties.
Responsibilities:•Oversee property accounting functions at both the corporate and individual property levels (75% of the role).•Focus on acquisitions, integrating new properties, and coordinating with lenders (25% of the role).•Manage a team of 3-5 people within the accounting department.•Collaborate closely with the executive team on strategic initiatives.
Must-Have Skills:•Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.•Proven experience in property management accounting, with a focus on multi-family properties.•Proficiency in property management software, including Appfolio, Yardi, RealPage, or similar.•Strong understanding of property acquisitions and onboarding processes.•Ability to work independently and hit the ground running.
