Our state of the art development center in Austin, Texas is the home for our next generation technical solutions. Engineers will provide flight and mission-critical products worldwide to more than 170 commercial and military customers. Engineers will also support securing our sustainable future through products that provide efficient, power management and by developing eco-friendly, hybrid and electric systems. You will have the opportunity to help define and develop the next generation: Fly-By-Wire Flight Controls, Full Authority Digital Engine Controls, Ground Vehicle Power Management, Aircraft Electrification, Advanced Air Mobility, Autonomous Flight Systems, Flight Deck Systems, Cabin Management Systems, Weapon Controls, and Mission Systems for the world's most prominent commercial and military aircraft and vehicle manufacturers. As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer your day to day responsibilities will include: Leadership opportunities to mentor your team and interface with customers Collaborate as an integrated team member with Systems and Hardware engineers Participation in one of more phases of the software life cycle; project planning, requirements development, software design/implementation, and integration and test Develop software designs and implementations that meet stringent requirements for complex embedded control systems Use existing processes and evolve processes to utilize the most effective new techniques to minimize both design cost and product cost Cultural and behavioral principles are a special part of our engineering organization, and we are looking for team players who will support our commitment to diversity and inclusion. Explore Location IJS Required Education, Experience, & Skills Bachelor's, Masters, or PhD Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or other related technical field with 6 years of experience. US citizenship or US Permanent Resident Embedded Software development in one or more of C, C++, and Assembly programming languages Experience in a Safety Critical or Functional Safety Real Time Embedded Electronics development Experience with Safety Critical or Functional Safety industry standards (such as DO-178) Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Experience in any the following areas are a plus. Higher level programing & scripting languages such as JAVA, Perl, Matlab & Simulink etc. Low level/bare metal Software Development such as: Device Firmware Device Drivers Operating System Development Processor architectures such as PowerPC, ARM, x86 Data Busses Formal Configuration/Change Management Systems Software Requirements Creation/ Management Software Verification and Validation Hardware/Software Integration & Debug Experience in commercial/military aviation industry Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $126610 - $215270 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
