SAP GTS Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced SAP GTS Specialist to evaluate, optimize, and enhance the SAP Global Trade Services (GTS) module within a client's SAP ECC system. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SAP GTS functionalities and integration with SAP ECC, with the ability to identify and address system challenges to improve overall business processes. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to understand pain points and drive system improvements to meet the organization's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze the effectiveness of the SAP GTS module within the client's SAP ECC environment to identify areas for improvement. Consult with different departments to gather feedback on current system limitations, pain points, and business requirements. Recommend actionable steps to enhance the SAP GTS system, including configurations, functional specs, and integration testing. Oversee GTS project implementations, including compliance management (SPL screening, embargo checks, license determination) and customs management. Coordinate with technical teams for system configuration, interface development, and implementing user exits and BADI's for SPL screening. Qualifications:
Experience:
10+ years of general SAP experience, with a minimum of 3 years focused specifically on SAP GTS. Relevant Experience:
At least 2 full-cycle SAP GTS implementations. Core Skills:
Strong knowledge of SAP SD processes, SAP GTS functionalities, and SAP ECC configurations. Experience in GTS Material Classification, Preference Processing, Letter of Credit Processing, and Restitution of Risk Management.
Preferred Skills:
Hands-on experience with compliance management (SPL screening, embargo checks, customs management) and familiarity with U.S. regulations. Preferred Soft Skills:
Excellent client management and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Years of Experience:
7-10 years, with at least 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
