With competitive compensation and superior employee benefits, as well as a commitment to fostering individual career growth, Airbus U.S. is the place where top talent wants to work.Position Summary:Supply Chain Subcontracts Manager, I will work closely with the Space Systems line of business of Airbus U.S. Space & Defense, Inc. with responsibilities including sourcing potential suppliers, negotiation of subcontracts, and managing aspects of cost, quality, schedule, financial and technical performance. This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company's success, reputation and sustainable growth.Position Responsibilities:Conducts the procurement process from sourcing to ordering, in order to fulfil business needs and provide the internal customers with valued services in compliance with the General Procurement procedures and guidelines, to full customer satisfaction.Identifies supplier risks and propose mitigation actions. Assists in the development of suppliers when necessary.Tracks and manages supplier contractual milestones such as supplier engineering specification schedule, supplier procurement schedule, supplier manufacturing schedule, and supplier delivery schedule.Reconciles invoice discrepancies and approves invoices for payment after validation with the stakeholdersReinforces contractual coverage, defines and implements supplier score cards/KPIsDevelops and maintains an efficient supply chain capable to deliver goods/work-packages (services), matching AIRBUS U.S. requirements and business objectives.Participates in the development of Statements of Work and lead RFP/Q process, including requests for ROMs.Develops base intelligence strategies to ensure the company benefits from the latest supply offering.Brings innovative solutions to maximize value proposition for products and bid opportunities.Other duties as assigned.
Qualified Experience / Skills / Training:Education:
BS/BA degree in Finance, Supply Chain, Management or Business, Accounting.Experience:
5 to 10 years of procurement experience in U.S. Defense environment with at least 5 years' experience sourcing suppliers, including evaluation of suppliers and development of Requests for Proposals.Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:Required:Basic knowledge of FAR/DFARS.Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.Communicate in a clear and concise manner effectively across multiple levels.Be team-minded and ready to work in a multi-functional and multi-cultural, fast-moving and complex/technical environment.Flexible attitude and strong initiative.Excellent analytical, interpersonal, communication (verbal/writing), and presentation skills.Advanced knowledge of FAR/DFARS.Must be able to organize, forecast, establish, implement, and execute goals.Experience leading large subcontracts.Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
