Jacksonville, FLOverviewThe Inhouse Global Database Support Team is responsible for operating the Banks most business critical and sensitive internally hosted Database infrastructure. We operate a follow the sun 24x7team located in all global regions and have Databases and staff in major hub and branch locations. We are searching for a professional who is proficient within Database (Oracle) and Other comprehensive income (OCI) Cloud environment, to take on a senior role in Database support and incident and problem management. The role requires a Database Administrator (DBA) with extensive experience in a large investment banking environment. Systems standardization and automationDatabase SME for critical escalations pertaining to Database Ops. This will also extend to provide support to vendor teamsKeeping the Database environment compliant with the technology roadmap, such as database upgrades, patching etcBe part of our follow the sun model (including weekend escalation support): Global Database team provides round the clock coverage, to include some out of hours and weekend work will be required to comply with applicable change windowsHow You'll LeadAs a senior member of the team, you will have a key relationship with our Major Incident Management team, representing us in the Bank's Command CentreYou will be a lead resource and point of escalation for junior members of the team and be expected to provide guidance, both technical and managerial, to those team membersMajor Incident Management, along with peer infrastructure support teams such as Database, storage or windows support groups will look to you for assistance and collaboration when dealing with issues or initiative that cross disciplinesSkills You'll NeedMust possess in-depth experience with Oracle database from release 11g to 19c and Oracle technologies RAC, Dataguard, Goldengate, Oracle EXAC@C & EXAC@CA, proficient in database administration: upgrades, patching and configuration management, performance management, troubleshooting, analysis and capacity planningStrong experience in Oracle cloud and tooling such as Exadata Cloud @ Customer and Exadata Cloud @ Customer AutonomousExtensive hands-on experience managing and maintaining Exadata machines. Strong exposure to Exadata hardware with a good understanding of compute nodes, storage cells, Infiniband switches maintenance, support, and troubleshootingExperience in automation through scripting (Shell, PERL) and automation tools (Ansible, Terraform) etcExpert level knowledge in physical and logical backup, recovery (including flashback technologies) and database migrationsSkills That Will Help You ExcelBachelor's Degree in computer science or equivalentPreferred Oracle certified master with OCI certificationYou will be a lead resource and point of escalation for junior members of the team and be expected to provide guidance, both technical and managerial, to those team membersMajor Incident Management, along with peer infrastructure support teams such as Database, storage or windows support groups will look to you for assistance and collaboration when dealing with issues or initiative that cross disciplinesExpectationsIt is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Jacksonville office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.Deutsche Bank provides reasonable accommodations to candidates and employees with a substantiated need based on disability and/or religion.The salary range for this position in Jacksonville is $100,000 to $145,500.
