The N927 Mission Engineering Department provides data management subject matter expertise to support the IC Chief Data Officer with development, adoption, and use of data and information governance and interoperability across the Intelligence Community and between the Intelligence Community and its external partners.

Roles & Responsibilities:

In this role, you are a subject matter expert advising the Office of the IC Chief Data Officer on data management matters. You are part of a MITRE team developing, coordinating, and implementing data management initiatives, strategies, and policy across the Intelligence Community. You will serve as a data management strategic advisor to senior government leadership serving the IC Chief Data Officer acting as an interface between cutting-edge technical experts (MITRE and government) pairing mission needs with achievable policy decisions and outcomes. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of data management, experience developing data management plans, strategies, and policies, and brings the ability to explain and implement the best data practices found in the government, public, and private sectors while being an objective, informed partner for government leaders who rely on MITRE’s insight and expertise to advance the government’s interests in the data management domain.

Basic Qualifications:

Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph

Requires minimum 10 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree; 8 years of experience with a Master’s degree; 5 years of experience with a Ph.D.; or an equivalent combination of related education and work experience.

Experience, knowledge, and understanding of US federal data management standards and policies.

Demonstrated data management skills – data management plans, data governance, data maturity models and analyzing maturity survey results.

Demonstrated experience developing policies, strategic plans, or action plans/roadmaps.

Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields.

This position has an on-site requirement of 5 days a week on-site.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in one of the above listed disciplines

Demonstrated experience supporting a chief data officer.

Demonstrated experience working with senior government officials managing competing equities of various government stakeholders.

Demonstrated experience coordinating complex concepts across a diverse stakeholder population.

Experience, knowledge, and understanding of National, Intelligence Community, and Department of Defense data and data management policies and guidance.

Demonstrated understanding of data interoperability concepts and experience implementing the same.

Demonstrated experience developing data acumen products and learning guides.

Experience with data science technologies and tools, technology trends, and emerging capabilities.

Salary compensation range and midpoint:

$165,000 - $206,000 - $247,000 Annual
