SWBC is seeking a talented individual to design and implement enterprise infrastructure and platforms required for cloud computing as well as analyzing system requirements ensuring that systems are built for security, resiliency, scalability, and availability.Why you'll love this role:In this role, you will design and deliver scalable infrastructure and platforms that incorporate infrastructure-as-code automation technologies such as CloudFormation, Ansible, and Terraform and perform systems development and design work that will include logic and architect design for Cloud computing. SWBC offers an enterprise level environment, career growth, and work-life balance within SWBC’s AWS and AZURE Cloud Engineering team.Essential duties include the following:Collaborates with Business and Technology organizations to understand product offerings and provide innovative technology recommendations and solutions.Designs and delivers scalable infrastructure and platforms for innovative cloud solutions and services that incorporate infrastructure-as-code automation technologies such as CloudFormation, Terraform, etc.Performs complex systems development and design work that may include logic design and architecture design for Cloud computing.Remains current with technology trends and new technologies, as they are made available.Proposes latest technology usage and integration standards.Research, test and engineer new technology offerings.Develops sizing models for leveraging Cloud computing services.Validates and tests security, performance, scalability, and resiliency of systems to ensure they meet corporate standards and security requirements.Provides support for cloud systems. Identifies, analyzes, and resolves system problems.Nurtures Cloud computing expertise within the SWBC Enterprise to drive Cloud Adoption.Prepares and presents innovation project status and recommendations to Business and IT partners.Participates in 24/7 on-call rotation after-hours, and performs all other duties as assigned.Serious candidates will possess the minimum qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or Information Systems.Minimum of five plus (5+) years of experience as an Enterprise Systems Engineer focusing on cloud technologies including DevOps principles and best practices.Relevant industry certifications such as AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate.Knowledge of cloud technologies including infrastructure components (i.e. compute, storage, network, data, virtualization, containers, optimization, services, and applications) available from AWS and Azure preferred.Strong knowledge of Linux-based operating systems like Amazon, RedHat/CentOS, or Debian/Ubuntu.Experience with Microsoft Server Operating Systems and knowledge of cloud database technologies.Understand and be able to articulate the technical merits and value of cloud computing.Experience with APIs, orchestration, and cloud automation such as CloudFormation, Ansible, Terraform, Packer.Strong working knowledge with strategic planning processes, especially in translating business needs to IT solutions.Proficiency in fundamentals of programming. Specific experience in PowerShell, .NET, Java, and NodeJS preferred.Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio, or equivalent commercial diagramming applications.Strong service attitude and a commitment to quality.Excellent verbal/written communication & interpersonal skills.Solid troubleshooting ability, including strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Good business judgment, a comfortable and open communication style, and a willingness and ability to work with customers and teams.Able to use basic office equipment, including copy machine, personal computer, and fax.Able to travel locally or nationally by car or plane.Able to sit for long periods of time performing sedentary activities.Able to stand, stoop, and kneel for long periods of time.Able to push, pull, and lift up to 40 lbs. of computer-related equipment, carts, or other office items.Requires relevant Industry Certifications, such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer.
