Salary: $31.54-$38.72/hr

The

Senior Director of Residential Services

is responsible for the comprehensive administration and operational oversight of the residential programs.

This position ensures that support and services provided in the assigned residential homes meet organizational quality standards and are compliant with NYS OPWDD guidance and regulations. The Senior Director of Residential Services is accountable to deliver a balanced set of program level outcomes across several dimensions including Quality, Service, and Financial metrics.

This position’s specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Responsible for ensuring and monitoring adherence to all NYS OPWDD and Waiver regulations across the residential program.

Ensure all residential programs are meeting HCBS Settings standards.

Create and maintain a stable workforce, including recruitment, hiring, and retention of direct care and front-line management employees.

Directly supervise assigned staff including conducting performance evaluations and managing payroll and paid time off process.

Develop, recommend, and implement new systems and programs designed to meet resident and agency needs.

Evaluate and coordinate admissions/discharges and provision of services to meet the needs of the residents and residences.

Participate in AROC and conduct prescreens for residential vacancies.

Provide program level insight into strategic, operational, and budget processes.

Achieve or exceed quality, service, and financial metrics for assigned programs.

Facilitate and manage constituent feedback including family, personnel, and community.

Represent Residential Services on internal committees and in the community as assigned.

Participate in the agency on-call system and provide on-site coverage for assigned Program Managers and other Directors as required.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Possess strong interpersonal, written, oral, and communication abilities as well as effective time management/organizational skills.

Must be able to provide on-call coverage, supervision, and training as needed during non-business hours, including holidays and weekends.

Must have previous supervisory/administrative/management experience.

Must be highly computer literate with ability to navigate human services operating systems and applicable software required for department needs including Microsoft Office Suite.

Must demonstrate sound judgment in normal work and emergency situations.

Must physically be able to perform required certifications and lift twenty-five (25) pounds.

Requirements:

A Master's Degree in Human Services field plus three (3) years experience in an administrative or supervisory capacity

- OR -

A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Service field plus five (5) years experience in an administrative or supervisory capacity.

Possess a valid driver’s license and driving record acceptable to the agency’s insurance carrier.
