Senior Project ManagerBenesch is seeking to hire a Senior Project Manager for our Transportation Services group in our Georgia division. This position entails supervising and training staff alongside continued project management training. Your responsibilities will include organizing and directing projects and ensuring their successful completion within scope, schedule, and budget parameters.
Your ability to manage resources effectively, resolve conflicts, and maintain compliance with safety and quality standards will directly contribute to project success and client satisfaction. Through your contributions, you'll help drive the growth and reputation of our Georgia division.
LocationThis position can work out of our Atlanta or Augusta office on a hybrid work schedule.
The Impact You Will Have
Manages the most complex transportation projects by providing direct supervision and overall leadership
Proactively manage projects with multiple subconsultants and teaming partners
Successfully mitigate complex project challenges as they arise
Develop advanced metrics to track projects
Provide management advice and training to other Project Managers, working to disseminate best practices across the Division/Company to promote the success of other projects as well
Serve as an ambassador of Benesch within the industry or client sector area
Comply with all project and company safety guidelines
Demonstrate advanced ability to utilize accounting and scheduling software for project management
Lead contract negotiations
Identify and promote business development and "add on" sales opportunities as they relate to a specific project
Lead marketing efforts, proposal writing and marketing visits to potential clients.
Maintain and promote awareness of new and emerging technology and the potential application on current projects
Lead and assist others in their development as leaders while serving as a role model and mentor
Perform training/knowledge-sharing activities that are widely applicable companywide
Assume leadership roles in professional organizations, holding leadership roles
What You Will Need
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
PE license in Georgia
20+ years of relevant work experience
Member of professional and technical societies expected
Strong verbal and written communication skills, facilitating clear and concise interactions with clients, team members, and stakeholders
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling efficient decision-making and resolution of complex project challenges
Exhibit effective leadership qualities, inspiring and guiding team members to achieve project objectives while fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment
Uphold high ethical standards, maintaining integrity, transparency, and professionalism in all interactions and decisions
