Summary

The Generation, T&D Project Management Office uses one scalable project management methodology to manage and provides project, program and construction management services in the delivery of a large portion of PGE’s capital portfolio from new construction to major capital upgrades.

In this role, you will be responsible for collecting and processing contractor-submitted information for construction projects. Ensure all required documentation is attached to work orders, validates permits and pre-requisites are satisfied, and interacts with Power BI dashboards and Tableau reports for accountability and project tracking. As well as, support program email management, facilitating communication between process owners and stakeholders. This involves providing general project team support, executing tasks within various PGE systems, such as Maximo, PGE's work order system of record, for efficient task management and data processing. This position is an adaptable role, subject to change with the evolving needs of the program.

Responsibilities

Work Order Management Manages work orders in PGE’s work and asset management system (i.e., Maximo). Creatework orders as needed; confirms work order owners and ensures requisite data is entered. Evaluates system information and updates or modifies work orders as needed. Reviews work orders for completeness prior to as-built mapping; adds required information or initiates follow- up work or identifiesfield checks as needed.

Project Coordination and Support Coordinates with external and internal stakeholders the timing and sequencing of work orders/activities for assigned projects and schedules accordingly. Collects and reconciles information with respect to work order continuity as needed. RequestsNJUNS tickets to be managed in the National Joint Utilities Notification System (NJUNS) database prior to construction activities on overhead facilities. Ensures required notifications have been provided to affected municipalities and stakeholders. Facilitates requesting required permits, verifies documentation and manages tasks in Maximo to secure permits. Works with Property Services to investigate easement-related issues or specialized permitting required for a specific job. Inputs and maintains project-related data in a variety of company databases.

Customer Support Serves as liaison to external contractors; provides job status updates, requests additional design information, and follows up on details to ensure work move forward as requires.

Reporting Prepares a variety of recurring and ad hoc departmental reports; summarizes reports and updates company records.

Senior Design Coordinator is also responsible for: Serves as lead design coordinator; provides guidance and training to less experienced or contingent worker design coordinators. Identifies, proposes and assists with implementing approved business process improvements.

Qualifications

Design Coordinator A04 B3 level

Education High school diploma or equivalent.

Typically, five or more years of experience coordinating work orders and activities, permitting, or other support functions for engineering or construction projects in the energy industry or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Senior Design Coordinator A05 B4 level

Education High school diploma or equivalent.

Typically, eight or more years of experience coordinating work orders and activities, permitting or other support functions for engineering or construction projects in the energy industry or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred:

Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Intermediate knowledge of the PGE Outage Management (OMS), MAXIMO, GIS, ArcFM Viewer, eRecords and PeopleSoft systems.

Working knowledge of the PGE Electric Service Manual.

Working knowledge of PGE tariffs.

Working knowledge of National Joint Utilities Notification System (NJUNS) is preferred. Working knowledge of fundamentals of electricity.

Working knowledge on how to interpret PGE system map features/legends, ability to identify map grids and use feeder maps.

Working knowledge of applicable permitting requirements in one or more jurisdictions within PGE’s service territory.

Compensation Range:

$26.15 - $48.86

Actual total compensation, including a performance based incentive bonus, is commensurate with experience, skills, qualifications, education, training, and internal equity. While we anticipate the selected candidate for this position will fall towards the middle or entry point of the compensation range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis.
