Drodex is seeking a Supply Technician to support the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR). ASPR is a public health preparedness and emergency response organization in the Office of the Secretary at the United States Department of Health and Human Services. ASPR was created under the Pandemic and All Hazards Preparedness Act in the wake of Hurricane Katrina to lead the nation in preventing, preparing for, and responding to the adverse health effects of public health emergencies and disasters. ASPR's Office of Facilities Management (OFM) is crucial in ensuring the operational efficiency of ASPR facilities nationwide by providing centralized expertise and customer service across several key domains. These domains include real estate management, construction oversight, facilities management, safety and environmental compliance, and accountable property management.

Responsibilities:

Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, to present findings, justify recommendations, respond to inquiries, and interact with customers.Complies with all applicable OSHA Regulations in performing physical labor.Frequently carries, lifts, and supports items weighing up to 50 pounds.Operates hand tools and material handling equipment.Must exert effort in moving and controlling powered and non-powered equipment.Assists in conducting physical inventory of accountable property.Verifies property records against the inventory records to verify the accuracy of the reported property.Determines causes of inventory discrepancies by conducting extensive research of all property management documents such as hand receipts, change documents, document registers, automated computer reports, purchase orders, turn-ins, lateral transfers, etc.Resolves problems or discrepancies with hand receipt holders or other responsible officials.Receives and processes unclassified incoming general and accountable mail.Signs for accountable mail and maintains a record or log of accountable mail.Sorts and routes mail by addressee and content for delivery to all elements of the organization. Provides requested mail/distribution to addressee and occasionally hand delivers mail to addressee.Supports central office supply room operations which contains approximately $100K worth of consumable and durable office supplies.Manages and updates supply orders.Processes supply requests utilizing an automated acquisition system.Conducts physical inventories and maintains all inventory records.Monitors stock levels and replenishes stocks as necessary.Receives, processes, and issues customer requisitions from on-hand stocks.Determines the most appropriate manner for storage and stock location within the supply room and ensures that stock is rotated to preclude obsolescence/expiration.Monitors stock levels to minimize excesses or shortages. Initiates action to turn in excess stock and dispose of outdated stock as required.Drives one or more types of passenger government vehicles, such as sedans or sports utility vehicles which typically have a gross vehicle weight (GVW) of 10,000 pounds or less.Vehicles are driven in urban and rural areas of Federal, State, and county roads and city streets in all traffic conditions.Ensures that driver and passenger safety rules and regulations are followed.Completes accurate reports on trip log sheets after each trip.Reports accidents (completing necessary forms) and reports all apparent vehicle malfunctions.Support up to 20 ASPR Special Events outside of normal duty hours.Support events supporting the movement of personnel and equipment within ASPRFacilities and require support outside of normal duty hours to prevent disruption to core functions.Routine local travel to perform duties at the ASPR facility in Fredrick, Maryland.

Qualifications

Required Education:

Associate degree

Required Experience:

0-2 years experience is supply management.Requires walking, standing, climbing, frequent stretching, and bending.Knowledge of a wide range of well-established and commonly applied asset management principles, concepts, and methodologies in support of accountable asset management.Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and database applications.Must have a safe driving record.Must maintain a valid state drivers license without restriction to operate a standard passenger or cargo vehicles.

Required Clearance:

Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance

Desired Qualifications:

Possess a valid Class C drivers license to operate motor vehicles.

Pay Transparency:

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across various US geographic markets. The pay for this position ranges from $45,000/year in our lowest geographic market to $50,000/year in our highest. Pay is based on factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Drodex is a government contractor company.
