The Associate should have an intermediate grasp of principles of risk management, quantitative pricing strategies, basic computer programming, and how to service clients in the commodity trading sector. An Associate must demonstrate the future potential to either generate revenue through business development (Sales-Trading) or master quantitative pricing, risk management, and applicable computer programming (Quantitative Trader). The Associate will receive extensive career development opportunities and be expected to attain a Lead Trader position within two to five years.This is a hybrid role in Chicago. We have an office in the Fulton Market area.THE DUTIESHedge standard daily trade flows and execute brokerage transactionsInterface with clients to ensure client satisfaction and identify new growth opportunitiesRun daily risk processes to calculate P&L and risk metricsMaintain and improve codebase for automated desk processesReconcile product pricing, position statements, and valuationsQUALIFICATIONS1+ years of experience in structured product tradingIntermediate grasp of probability theory and statistical inferenceFluent in python and SQL (or similar)Intermediate grasp of option risk management & greeksThe following represents FBN's reasonable estimate of the US national average base salary range for this role based on market data and placement of internal employees: $60,000-$67,000.
