Our client, a non-for-profit organization providing a range of services to vulnerable children and families in NYC, is hiring a
Psychiatrist, Child and Adolescent .
Responsibilities:Psychiatric evaluations and medication management in Community and School Based Behavioral Health ProgramsSupport a patient population that includes both community and foster children across the New York City areaProvides direct patient care: initial psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic evaluations, medication evaluations and managementReviews medical history, orders laboratory tests and reviews resultsResponsible for emergency evaluations to detect and diagnose behavioral health disorders as neededReviews and signs off on treatment plans generated by Social WorkersProvides consultation to behavioral health and medical staff on psychiatric diagnosis and /or management issuesProvides psycho-education to parents/ caregivers and children regarding medication and possible side effectsRequirements:Doctor of Medicine, with an approved residency in psychiatryBoard certified/eligible in Child and Adolescent PsychiatryLicensed to practice in the State of New YorkCompleted approved child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship training programAdditional 2-3 experience in a post-residency clinical health care environment preferredJob Perks:Competitive salary, great benefits, and other attractive incentivesGenerous PTOAll major insurances (health, life, disability)Work-life balance is valuedA team environment that believes in employee development, professional growth, and company longevityCulture is one of mutual respect, teamwork, and equalityThe organization embraces and values an inclusive work environmentSalary:
