Asana, San Francisco, California, United States, 94199

Our sales team is focused on finding efficient paths to successful, profitable, long-term customers by building a user-driven marketing and sales engine. To do so, we employ a bottom-up enterprise sales model by helping many small, successful customers evolve into larger, successful ones. We act as a key voice of the customer to the product team. We help identify and overcome technical, educational, and competitive obstacles to our continued growth.

Asana is looking for a driven, entrepreneurial, results-oriented sales professional who holds themselves accountable to achieving results. As a member of our growing vertical sales team, you will join a talented team focused on helping our vertical customers understand and leverage the power of Asana.

You will play a crucial role in acquiring new customers, cultivating passionate advocates, and helping to define Asana’s go-to-market strategy for verticals. The team thrives on collaboration, working together seamlessly and integrating efforts with other departments to drive success.

This role is based in our San Francisco office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner.

What you’ll achieve:

Define territory and outbound strategies that enable sales velocity in generating a robust pipeline of new business opportunities.

Own the full sales-cycle process for new business accounts, engaging with organizations of various sizes, from prospect to close.

Continuously build and maintain a pipeline of new business opportunities.

Collaborate seamlessly with sales development, marketing, and customer success teams to foster a dynamic ecosystem of customer success.

Play a key role in shaping Asana's strategic direction in vertical markets.

Surpass targets with the support of a collaborative sales enablement team.

Innovate and experiment with new processes to enhance value for vertical customers.

Recognize patterns and contribute to strategizing the vertical go-to-market approach.

About You:

Experience in closing business with 4-6+ years of relevant success and 4+ years of experience selling into small and mid-sized organizations.

Direct experience or knowledge pertinent to vertical markets.

Ability to excel in a results-oriented environment within a rapidly scaling business.

Exceptional customer skills: strong communication, presentation, empathy, integrity, and a keen passion for understanding and solving business challenges.

Proven track record in new customer acquisition, ideally with experience in selling to functions such as Marketing, Sales, Product, HR, and Collaboration (IT).

Strategic thinker adaptable to changing conditions, with an entrepreneurial spirit and solution-oriented mindset.

Excitement about the opportunity to co-create with cross-functional partners in a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment.

What we’ll offer:

Our comprehensive compensation package plays a big part in how we recognize you for the impact you have on our path to achieving our mission. We believe that compensation should be reflective of the value you create relative to the market value of your role. To ensure pay is fair and not impacted by biases, we're committed to looking at market value which is why we check ourselves and conduct a yearly pay equity audit.

For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $91,000 - $116,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process.

In addition to base salary, your compensation package may include additional components such as equity, sales incentive pay (for most sales roles), and benefits.

We strive to provide equitable and competitive benefits packages that support our employees worldwide and include:
