Your Responsibilities
As a
Shipping Coordinator
for John Deere Parts Distribution Center located in Milan, IL, you will prepare moderately complex documents using a variety of applications for technology devices such as standard office software. Also responsible for gathering and summarizing data for reports. In addition, you will:
Produce accurate reports for others by collecting data from a variety of standard sources and inputting it into standard formats.Produce, update and provide best practice support on a wide range of MS documents, databases and other departmental systems to support the work of more senior colleagues.Develop knowledge and understanding of the organization's policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct to ensure own work adheres to those standards. Obtain authorization from a supervisor or manager for any exceptions from mandatory procedure.Develop and maintain excellent process or technical skills by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching.VISA sponsorship is NOT available for this position.
What Skills You Need
3 or more years of experience warehousing experience with materials management, transportation, shipping and receiving.Uses clear and effective verbal communications skills without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on expressing ideas, requesting actions and formulating plans or policies.Supports business processes without supervision by understanding and effectively using standard office equipment and standard software packages, while providing technical guidance as needed.Works under guidance (but not constant supervision) to analyze data trends for use in reports to help guide decision making.Understanding of employee policies, practices, procedures, and work rules appropriate for the unit.Experience leading issue resolution amongst a cross-functional team.Ability to work weekends/overtime as needed to support production.Ability to work 2nd or 3rd shift based on business needs.What Makes You Stand Out
Experience in Operations and willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment.Experience working with a unionized workforce.Experience with the Deere Production System.A strong problem solver who can multi-task.Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
