Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerforms routine and complex Respiratory Therapy for Adult,Pediatric, and Neonatal patients. Work in all adult and pediatric/NICU criticalcare areas (provided an opportunity for training occurs). Performs duties orprojects assigned by the Director, Assistant Director, Clinical Specialist,and/or Shift Supervisor. Under the supervision of the RT IV Neo/PEDS TransportClinical Specialist, The RT III Clinical Supervisors, and RT IV AssistantDirector. The RT will assume responsibility and accountability in the provisionof advanced and complex respiratory care for Adult, neonatal, and pediatricpatients during the inpatient care and transport process. After completingsupervised clinical training, care for these patients will include theapplication and utilization of advanced practice skills. Educationalopportunities will include the training of new employees; and in-servicingstaff on new equipment and techniques, Customer service, communication, andpublic relations are key aspects of this position. May be required to work inany area of the Health System. May require rotating shifts Day/Night.Salary $46.22 - $60.98 /hourQualifications
Required for the NICU DepartmentMust have two years of NICU ExperienceMust have experience with high-frequency ventilators,either the HFOV or HFJVWilling to work with Adults and PEDs
Preferred for the NICU DepartmentPrevious experience intubating neonateswithin the last yearCompetent in using the oscillator andnitric oxide on neonates
