Bloomberg Intelligence ("BI") is seeking an Associate Director of Research to join in leading its fast-growing global strategy research team, responsible for coverage and thought leadership across asset classes including equity, FICC, ESG, private markets and asset allocation research. This role will be integral to developing and executing a business vision for the team, including managing cross functional partnerships, developing and managing research products, overseeing resource allocation and handling various day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills, be detailed oriented and able to thrive in a faced paced environment.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Business Planning and Execution: work with DOR to set and execution a vision for the global strategy team.
Research Product Creation, Coordination: Help create and execute products that bring together research across the team including assessing and addressing gaps. Compile and share monthly research highlights and quarterly recognition across the team.
Work closely with our global team of Bloomberg Intelligence analysts and strategists located in New York, Princeton, London, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore, Sao Paulo and Dubai to coordinate and collaborate on analysis.
Stakeholder Management: Manage requests and communication with Bloomberg stakeholders, including teams from Core, Data and Enterprise Data
Hiring and Resource Allocation: Assist with hiring analysts, determining research coverage and managing associate allocations and support.
Leadership Support: Step in as needed to back up the Head of Global Strategy
Manage a diverse team of experienced Analysts and be responsible for their performance and development.
Requisite experience and skills:
Strong organizational skills and capable of handling multiple projects.
Understanding of the various asset classes and public and private markets, with a clear understanding of the private equity and private credit markets and product offerings.
Experience in stakeholder management, research coordination, and resource planning.
Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to work with senior leadership
Ability to develop professional and collaborative relationships with peers and colleague
Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, independent thinker and team player
7+ years of sell-side or buy-side research analysis experience
Previous management experience is a plus, in particular managing analysts/teams.
Bachelor's Degree, with CFA designation or MBA preferred
Strong knowledge of the Bloomberg Terminal
