The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for supporting and implementing Human Resources strategies, programs, processes and policies among client departments at the academic hospital in Orange, CA. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, labor relations, training, performance management, policy implementation, talent acquisition, compensation, employment law, compliance, benefits and disability.
Uses professional HR concepts as a seasoned, experienced professional to apply organization policies and procedures to resolve the full range of HR-related issues. Works on problems that are diverse and complex in scope, where analysis of situations require a review of a variety of factors. Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day assignments with some guidance provided on new projects.What It Takes to be Successful

The expected pay range for this recruitment is $77,000- $123,650(Annual).
Required:Possesses strong analytical skills to conduct analysis and develop recommendations, demonstrating organization and problem-solving skills.Thorough knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, knowledge of functional area and understands how work may affect other areas.Skilled in communicating clearly and effectively verbally and in writing.Demonstrated ability to handle very difficult or volatile situations / individuals effectively.Demonstrated analytical, active listening, and critical thinking skills.Demonstrated ability to maintain discretion with sensitive and confidential information.Demonstrated skill in partnering with management and employees in areas of conflict resolution, employee relations, change management, and performance management.Demonstrated ability to handle very difficult or volatile situations / individuals effectively.Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / trainingRequired: 3+ years of direct experience in varied HR roles, with an emphasis on client or customer service
Preferred:Knowledge of a human resources management system (HRMS), and / or other related business software programs and systems.Experience in a unionized environment.Experience working in a healthcare, UC, union, and/or public sector environment.SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP Certification or PHR or SPHR CertificationPrior experience working in a HR generalist position
