SUMMARY :
The Vice President of Sales will lead the sales department and manage sales operations. Duties include developing sales through select direct customer contact and creating department strategies, training staff, and setting sales goals for the team and their respective accounts.
The VP of Sales is the head of the sales department and is responsible for everything that happens within the department and ultimately responsible for the company’s sales performance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Utilize experience and relationships to expand business, in retail and B2B business segment
Managing all sales team members and processes
Setting sales goals and quotas
Creating the sales department budget
Producing sales forecasts and reports
Researching the market and competitors
Training, mentoring, and motivating the sales team
Collaborating with the marketing department to develop effective promotional materials
Building relationships with customers
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Must portray strong leadership and sales skills
Analytical skills to evaluate data and use it to make decisions
Understanding of market trends and adaptability to follow those trends
Motivate and influence team to achieve results
Problem-solving and customer service skills
Strong organizational skills and strategic planning
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. This individual must also be willing to keep up and maintain a high-paced travel schedule. Education and/or Experience:
Minimum of associate’s degree, bachelor's degree preferred
5+ years experience in CPG, Pet and/or Private label business Account Management. B2B experience and relationships preferred.
Computer and Technology Skills:
The successful candidate must be proficient in MS Office applications, SAP, and/or other ERP systems.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. German language speaking skills is another advantage.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
