The Network Support Engineer will manage day-to-day onsite/on-call network operations including troubleshooting/inquiry responses related to the network, maintaining/configuring network devices, and basic network optimizations. The role requires experience in managing enterprise networks, implementations, migration, and operation management, which may involve the following technologies: LAN, WAN, Wireless, Network Security, Audio Visual, Voice systems, etc.The successful candidate must demonstrate fluent MS Office skills with tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Knowledge or expertise in Visio is a plus. They must also gather network operation data to help the manager create status reports.Responsibilities
Manage/configure general enterprise network devices for stable network operations.Create network change work procedures considering stable network operations.Resolve network issues/troubles minimizing risks or impacts for the customer’s business continuation.Work closely with users and technology workstreams to identify network requirements.Develop network maintenance plans to maintain safe and stable networks and refine network configurations.Create network management/operation documents for efficient network management.Perform network maintenance/trouble responses working with related parties such as customers/users/vendors. Off-business hour work may be expected depending on customer needs.Proactively assist in developing network monitoring improvements.Manage issues, risks, change controls, and status reporting in network operations.Inspect the telecom room and its equipment to meet customer criteria.Assist the manager in providing network-related technical insights and advice to customer stakeholders for project planning & execution.Assist in network-related projects as required by managers or customers.Recognize potential opportunities, risks, or complications at the customer side and inform the manager to make action plans.Requirements
5+ years of hands-on work within large-scale enterprise networking environments.Fundamentals of Networking and demonstrated experience supporting large-scale enterprise network environments.Good understanding of TCP/IP routing and switching, along with network design best practices.Good understanding of dynamic routing (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, etc.), Network Security (Firewall, NAC, etc.), Switching topologies on both Wired/Wireless networks (WLC, LAP, etc.), and Cloud/Virtual networking.Experience writing technical specifications is recommended.Strong customer service orientation.Passion to improve technical/non-technical knowledge/skills to fulfill customers’ expectations.Ability to deal with and resolve ambiguity.Fluent written and verbal communication skills.Preferred Qualifications
