Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, with core hours from 10 am to 3 pm.
Travel: 20% during peak season (summer) for conferences and policy meetings.

Job Description:
The Government Relations Senior Manager will work closely with the policy team and external consultants to advance conservation policy priorities at the federal and state levels. This role requires engaging with Members of Congress, federal and state agencies, and key stakeholders to support policy strategies for natural climate solutions and forest carbon sequestration.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategic initiatives in climate mitigation, wildfire risk reduction, voluntary carbon markets, and sustainable forest management.
Advocate for policies supporting conservation programs, such as the Family Forest Carbon Program.
Establish and nurture relationships with legislators, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
Collaborate on policy initiatives that advance forest conservation, water quality, wildlife habitat preservation, and rural community support.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 4+ years in government relations, ideally within conservation, natural resources, or renewable energy. Experience with the Hill, policy firms, or nonprofit advocacy is preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Soft Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills. Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and handle multiple priorities.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in public policy, environmental policy, or a related field.
